About this experience
Full-day trek to the foot of the majestic Apu Ausangate (6384 masl) to see its 7 colorful lakes. Includes hot springs option.
Detailed Itinerary
Pick up from your hotel between 04:00 and 04:45 a.m., departure from Cusco at approx. 05:00 a.m. We head south for approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes to the village of Pacchanta, passing through ABRA CATTCA at over 4000 masl.
In Pacchanta we enjoy breakfast at a local restaurant, then begin our hike to the beautiful lakes — average hiking time 2 to 3 hours.
Free time at the lakes for photos, then 2 hours of descent back to the community of Pacchanta.
Local lunch and free time for those who wish to enter the hot springs (highly recommended). Return to Cusco — average arrival 19:30 to 20:00 hrs.
