About this experience

Visit the only active Inca rope bridge made of ichu fiber, ritually renewed each year by four communities. Includes a stop at 4 Andean lakes.

Detailed Itinerary

Pickup begins at 04:30 a.m. from the different hotels. We head to Cusipata (approx. 2 hours of travel) where we have breakfast.

We continue 1 hour and 30 minutes more to reach the village of Quehue, then arrive at Queswachaka — an ichu grass fiber rope bridge over the Apurímac river.

With our guide we explore the area and receive information about its history and culture. Free time to enjoy the landscape.

We return to Cusipata for lunch, stopping along the way to observe the 4 lakes: Pampamarca, Asnacqocha, Acopía and Pomacanchi. Return to Cusco — arrival approx. 17:30 to 18:30 p.m.
