Conquer the famous Rainbow Mountain via the short route from Fulawasipata (5050 masl), with the option to visit the Red Valley for a small extra fee.
Detailed Itinerary
We begin with pickups from your hotels. We depart approx. at 05:00 a.m. heading south from Cusco. After approximately 2 hours of travel we arrive at the village of Cusipata where we have breakfast at our restaurant.
After breakfast we board our vehicle again heading to Fulawasipata — approximately 1 more hour of travel.
We arrive approx. at 08:45 a.m. at Fulawasipata and begin the hike. Average distance: 4 km.
In approximately 2 hours we reach this natural wonder — THE BEAUTIFUL RAINBOW MOUNTAIN VINICUNCA — at an altitude of 5050 masl. Free time for photos and explanation from our guide, then we return by the same path to the vehicle.
Optional: return via the beautiful Red Valley — extra entrance fee of 10 soles paid on site.
We head to our restaurant for lunch, then return to Cusco. Arrival approx. 18:00 hrs.
